We had been looking forward to it for a long time, so the day we got the keys the big project started immediately! We clean up, cut weeds, paint walls and build a fence, so that our dogs Yara and Dymo can walk (partly) freely.
So we had quickly found our way to the hardware store (called Aki) and even then we noticed how nice it was that we live close to a city (Caldas da Rainha). Eight minutes to a number of large supermarkets, ten minutes to the hardware store and ten minutes to the center with a daily fruit and vegetable market. Delicious!
And in other directions we find the historic Obidos at 6 minutes, beautiful nature within walking distance, the Lagoa de Obidos (large inland lake connected to the ocean) at 10 minutes and 15 minutes from the beach and the sea! We discover more and more that we have bought a dream house!
